Christ the King Parish will hold its traditional Tenebrae Service on Monday evening of Holy Week, March 30, beginning at 7:00 pm in the awesome beauty of Saint Mary’s Church in Sharpsburg.

The Easter Vigil Mass will be offered on Saturday, April 4, beginning at 8:30 in Saint Joseph Church. Please note the change of time from 7:30 to 8:30. At that later hour the Church invites us into a darkened church "to enter into the darkness of the tomb . . . to experience the new light of the Resurrection.”

The Passion accounts from the Gospels according to Matthew and John are read on Palm Sunday and Good Friday this year. These two accounts contain passages that have contributed to historical persecution of Jews by Christians. How did this happen, and how are we to understand those passages today?
