2025-26 Faith Formation RegistrationThe vision for Faith Formation at Christ the King Parish is to provide an environment in which our Faith Formation staff, Catechists, and parents work together to foster learning about our Catholic Faith with our children and accompany them in developing personal relationships with Christ. By leading through the example of our strong commitment to our Catholic faith, we demonstrate that the journey of faith is a lifelong journey that is strengthened within our parish community. All Faith Formation sessions will take place at Saint Joseph Church (342 Dorseyville Road, Pittsburgh PA 15215).**KICK-OFF SUNDAY: Our 2025-2026 year will begin on Catechetical Sunday, September 21, 2025. All families are invited to join us for Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Joseph Church. After Mass, families are invited to join in fellowship and pick up materials downstairs in the John Paul II hall.**Beginning in October, families will gather in person once per month on a Sunday or Wednesday. Immediately following Mass, families will participate in the Faith Formation sessions. An adult family member must accompany the child to the session. The remaining weekly sessions will be completed by the families at home.Over the past several years, many parents have asked that families stay together for Family Faith Formation Sessions. Keeping that in mind, we are offering two Options for Family Faith Formation Sessions this year: one where the students break into separate classrooms by grade, and one where the whole family stays together to learn the lesson. A description of the two options that are offered and the dates are below. Please follow the links to register for the program you will participate in this year.

Option 1—Finding God
This Option, offered on Sunday A or Sunday B, will be our current format. The children will break off to their grade level classrooms using the textbook “Finding God,” while adults remain together for their session in the social hall. Students will complete the first lesson of each Unit in the classroom. The remaining lessons are to be done at home with one assessment being completed online for each unit. -
Option 2—Faith Stories
This option, offered on Sunday C or Wednesday A, will use a new format. The family will stay together in the social hall and use the “Faith Stories” program. They will read Bible stories together and do activities appropriate for all grade levels. Similar lessons will be sent home each month to be completed as a family and one assessment and/or activity will need to be completed.

If there is a need to cancel any of our sessions or move them to a virtual format (Zoom), we will send a notification through our Flocknote system. However, WE DO NOT follow Fox Chapel School District in decisions regarding school closings.
