The Holy Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith: it is the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In anticipation of receiving the Lord in the Eucharist, we reflect on our lives, ask for God's forgiveness for the times we fall short, and receive absolution from our sins through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
The Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion (First Eucharist) are normally celebrated in the Spring of the 2nd grade year. If your child is not in the 2nd grade or has not received the Sacrament of Baptism, please reach out to our Faith Formation Office at 412-963-8885.
Preparation for this Sacrament is necessary, and Christ the King Parish follows the Sacramental Preparation guidelines of the Diocese of Pittsburgh.
