With the significant winter storm forecast to impact western Pennsylvania this weekend, Bishop Mark Eckman has granted a dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass for all Catholics in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. Because of this announcement, there will be no Sunday Masses in Christ the King Parish on January 25. We encourage Christ the King Parishioners to consider attending the January 24 Saturday Masses at 4pm at Saint Joseph Church (342 Dorseyville Road in O'Hara) or 5pm at Saint Scholastica Church (309 Brilliant Avenue in Aspinwall). Those who are unable to attend Mass on Saturday should sanctify the Lord’s Day through prayer, reading the Scriptures, participating in a livestreamed or televised Mass, and spiritual communion. You are also encouraged to look out for neighbors during the storm, particularly the elderly, those who live alone, and anyone who may need assistance. Please stay safe and warm!
